Whether enjoying the forest in the morning dew, taking a relaxing bath in the natural water spring or revelling in our meals – we marvel at all the wonders that nature has to offer. This also obliges us to treat this nature with care. As a result, our own thermal power station has been responsible for supplying a major portion of energy and heating supply since 2009. This enables us to save more than 1,400 tons of carbon emissions each year. Our kitchens likewise use many regional and seasonal ingredients, in line with the philosophy “from nose to tail, from root to flower”. Out of respect for all that nature gives us, we use as much as possible from every animal and plant that goes into our cuisine – ideally, everything. In this way, we are also expressing our responsibility for the beauty of the Black Forest in the kitchen and making a small contribution to enabling the next generation to enjoy it too.
